Most companies will not answer this question online. You get “every job is unique, contact us for a quote,” which is true and also useless when you are trying to work out whether to call anybody at all.
So here are real numbers. Updated for 2026, based on what we actually quote around the Valley.

Per square foot, most patch work in the Valley runs $8 to $20 depending on complexity. Simple fills on an accessible single-story wall sit at the low end. Second-story work with a difficult lace match sits at the high end.
What moves the price
Height and access. Ground-floor work reachable from a ladder is the cheapest thing we do. Second story, over a tile roof, or anything needing scaffolding can double the labor on an identical-size repair.
Texture complexity. Sand finish is straightforward. Lace, dash and santa barbara take longer to match. You are paying for that time.
Color matching. Matching a wall that is twenty years into Arizona sun requires test samples and cure time, which means extra trips.
Substrate condition. The big variable. If the lath and paper behind the stucco are sound, the repair is what it looks like. If they are rusted or rotted, they come out, and that is real additional work. It is also usually invisible until we open it up.
Number of separate areas. Five small repairs in five places cost considerably more than one repair five times the size, because setup and cleanup happen once per location.
Whether it needs painting after. Sometimes the better result is repairing and repainting an elevation rather than chasing an invisible match. Budget $1,500 to $4,000 for a typical elevation.
HOA requirements. If your community requires approved colors and a submission process, that can add time. It rarely adds much cost, but it does affect the schedule, so start early if you are on a compliance deadline.
What makes a repair cheaper
Group your repairs. Four things that need doing? Do them in one visit. You will pay meaningfully less than four separate calls.
Deal with it early. A hairline crack sealed for $250 is the same crack that, left open through two monsoon seasons, becomes $2,000 of water damage. This is the single biggest cost lever you have.
Go before monsoon, not after. May and June sealing is prevention. September is repair, and repair costs more.
Time it with painting. If you are planning to paint anyway, do the repairs first and matching stops being an issue.
Make it accessible. Move the patio furniture, trim back the oleander and bougainvillea before we arrive. That is time off the clock.
Where these numbers come from
These are our own quoted ranges for the Phoenix metro in 2026, across the repair work we do daily.
They are not national averages. National figures tend to run low for our market because they do not account for what Arizona sun and monsoon cycling do to the work, or for how much harder matching a twenty-year sun-faded wall is than matching a wall in Ohio.
They are ranges, not quotes. A real number requires looking at the wall.
Getting a number for your job
Text a photo to 602-228-5012. Include a shot from about ten feet back and a close-up, plus a rough size.
We will send back a ballpark the same day. Not a range wide enough to be meaningless, an actual number close enough to plan around. If you want to go further, we come out and give you a firm quote, free, and that number does not change unless we find something behind the wall, in which case we stop and show you first.
Common questions
Why will most companies not give prices online?
Partly because jobs genuinely vary, and partly because publishing numbers invites comparison. We would rather you know upfront whether we are in your range.
Is a cheap quote a red flag?
Sometimes. The corners that get cut in this trade are skipping paper and lath on a through-hole, using rigid filler where flexible sealant belongs, and not bothering with a real texture match. All three look fine for about a year, which is usually long enough for the cheap guy to be gone.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. On-site quotes are free with no obligation.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. Ask when we quote and we will put the terms in writing.
My HOA gave me 30 days. Can you work to that?
Usually yes. Tell us the deadline when you text and we will be straight with you about whether we can make it.
Is it cheaper to repair or re-stucco the whole house?
Almost always repair, and it is not close. A full re-stucco on a typical Valley home runs many times what targeted repairs cost. Re-stucco makes sense when the system itself has failed across most of the house, not when you have cracks and a few patches.
